Mount Sinai study identifies new gene variations associated with heart rate

A new study from Mount Sinai researchers to be published in Nature Genetics identifies 14 new genes that are associated with heart rate and may provide insight into the treatment of cardiovascular disease. Since heart rate is a marker of cardiovascular health, these findings could provide a better understanding of genetic regulation of heart beat.
